    Join us Monday, October 23 at Fort Jackson Golf Club for our annual charity golf tournament. We need golfers/golf teams, door prizes, silent auction items, and hole sponsors. We can also use items for the player goody bags like golf balls, tee packs, snacks, etc. A copy of the registration brochure is attached to the newsletter email. We will also need folks to help out at the event including registration, beverage cart drivers, auction/door prize assistance, goody bags, etc. Hope to see every member there!     On September 25th, Louisburg College will face Palmetto Prep Minutemen. This will also be the first annual 'Military Appreciation Game' in which the Minutemen will wear special military themed jerseys and sell them after the game. The proceeds will go to veterans organization, Palmetto State Base Camp.


    Louisburg College was founded in the 1800's and is the oldest two-year coeducational college in the United states. It is located in Louisburg, North Carolina  They are led by Head Coach Trevor Highsmith The Minutemen are led by Head Coach Wes Dorton. This will be the second meeting between the two teams as they played against each other in Columbia in 2013 when the team was still 'Gray Military Academy'. Louisburg won that game 48-12. They were scheduled to play last season in Louisburg, NC but the flooding in Columbia created an unsafe travel environment.

    Clinton Davis, PSBCI Executive Director, receives a Concurrent Resolution for stellar commitment and dedication to SC Veterans, Homeless Veterans and their families.

    This award was presented to Clinton on April 27, 2016 in front of a packed SC House Chamber by House Representative James Smith.

    Palmetto State Base Camp, Inc. was a 2008 recipient of the SC Competitive Grants' process. Senator John Courson presented a check for $20,000 to support PSBCI's seven (7) single family transitional Community Housing and Development Homes (CHDO) which provide housing needs for homeless veterans living in South Carolina. Senator Courson is also a former Marine with a distinguished military career and service to the State of South Carolina.
